I do tend to agree with the semi infamous Fran Lebowitz quote on down jackets (and gorpiness overall..) even if she’s pretty annoying.
“Of course, more people should wear overcoats than those damned down jackets. Please. Are you skiing, or are you walking across the street? If you're not an arctic explorer, dress like a human being.”
However…I can just throw it on over a t-shirt and be comfortable while running errands all winter, so fuck it, who cares?
Perfectly Imperfect has been around so long now that I think it’s roots as a more fashion-oriented newsletter have faded away (thank god), but I’m still a dude who likes to occasionally shop on ssense, I’m sorry.
During their black Friday sale I got this really nice down jacket from the South-Korean brand PAF and I love it. It’s a nice matte black, has no logos, it’s not too long, it’s made of durable ripstop, and did I mention it’s warm? Almost too warm.
It looks like they no longer have the men’s version on ssense, but they still have the women’s one and it’s probably unisex.
