, I just can’t help myself. I saw a great show last night and I need to recommend it.I honestly should’ve talked about Evanora on Perfectly Imperfect months ago. He’s making music like no one else. Check out Mithlond, Age of Information, and this cut from his schizzed out rapper alter ego Marjorie -W.C. Sinclair, and tell me there’s anyone else doing it like Evanora.
When I saw he was sharing a bill with Taraneh, Ivy Knight, and the homie Cooper (LUCY), I knew I had to be there even if it meant making the trek to the venue in the cold pouring rain. It was absolutely worth it, Natalie and Andrew were there and we all had a great time.
Cooper did his usual stage banter, “feel free to dance” “New York New York” “this is a special night”, and I definitely danced and had a special night in New York.
Evanora performed with a cross/sword microphone and fake blood all over him, and the crowd was going bananas. He kept doing that reverbed out yell thing that Alan Vega of the band Suicide used to do, which was sick, and he also tried his best to rap along to the Marjorie studio recordings, which was also sick.
