One of my best friends, Will Stallmeyer, was inspired by T-Recs and adapted the daily format to be only song recs. That’s right, one track every single day.
Don’t get it twisted, this isn’t some Pitchfork writer waxing poetic about tracks sent in by publicists to hit a word count, this is a dude talking about his love for obscure Alex Chilton cuts and reflecting on lovely mornings soundtracked by Mulatu Astatke.
You can depend on two things in this life; the sun will retreat each night, and if you give Will and I a few Guiness in a dingy bar we’ll ramble about music until the sun reveals itself again.
Seriously, if there’s anyone who can talk about a song every day, it’s Will, and I’ve really enjoyed learning a bit about a new track and a bit about my friend.
