Not only are Shane and Maya super kind & cool people, but they're also making some of the best music in New York City right now.
Okay, I'm embarrassed to admit that I forgot to include "Ef" in my best songs of 2022 playlist, but I'm owning up to my mistake. I've seen the light and the light is Chanel Beads.
I guess if I had to compare them… they're kind of like a quieter dreamier Naked and Famous? or maybe a darker Animal Collective? Idk, both of those comparisons kinda suck. I’m sorry. They’re really just doing their own thing and you gotta listen for yourself. Oh, and try to see them live.
I can't wait to see where they go from here.
