I’ve talked about David Blaine’s bizarre (epic) 2003 collaboration with Harmony Korine on Perfectly Imperfect before, but today I just want to talk about magic in general.
Last night my brother and I watched a bunch of Penn and Teller videos on Youtube and those guys just don’t really have the swag that Blaine does or the freaky energy of Chris Angel. They obviously have staying power (and it’s def cool that one guy doesn’t talk, mystery is good) but someone new has to step up and be a little weird w/ card tricks on the street.
Maybe it should be KJ? He’s got the sauce and I know he met Mr Angel in his prime while at magician camp. Simone Films should be making a strange magic show with KJ as the host. The world needs it. I need it.
