Enough friends over the years have bugged me to watch The Leftovers that I finally gave it (another) shot.
Every recommendation of Leftovers is paired with the dreaded “it gets better I promise” and here I am echo-ing the same. I’ve tried to watch the pilot two or three times since it first aired in 2014 but I couldn’t get immersed in it’s wacky premise & sort of bad acting.
This time I toughed it out partially because I’m desperate for a show to throw on and I usually struggle to commit. I’m on episode 4 or 5 now and it’s definitely grabbing me this time. I’m sold.
